a morning of lovin

a morning of lovin is what T called this morning, and it was! i cannot tell you how thrilled i was to fall asleep last night knowing that i didn't have to do anything til noon today...can you say 'sleeping in'?! T snuck in early this morning and we spent an hour doing absolutely nothing. and it was glorious. eventually our stomachs started growling and our mutual coffee addiction got the best of us, so we headed over to einstein's. i cannot even express to you how wonderful it was sitting there, drinking coffee, munching on our bagels, both of us buried in the Word for some quiet time. my heart was so full.

i've been spending a lot of time in psalms over the last few days...picture this:

By the word of the Lord were the heavens made, their starry host by the breath of his mouth.
He gathers the waters of the sea into jars; he puts the deep into storehouses.

The Lord foils the plans of the nations; he thwarts the purposes of the peoples.
But the plans of the Lord stand firm forever, the purposes of his heart through all generations.

- psalm 33

can you picture how BIG and how awesome our God is? i think i now understand why David was called 'a man after God's own heart.' he understood the love of the Lord like no one else before Him. despite his failures, he understood how deep, how unfailing, and how redeeming God's love is. spend some time in the psalms - i highly suggest it!
