this is the Hatten family - 3 boys, 4 girls, and 2 loving parents. they are a hysterical, loving, and joyful bunch and i was honored to capture their family photos! 

i love all of the backgrounds, stories, hearts, and personalities reflected in each of these beautiful smiles - that is what family is all about! you'll see what i mean:

after the smiling and the posing, we took a quick break to play in the waves and frolic in the sand, and it ended up being my favorite part of the shoot! i love capturing people in their element, where the joy is uninhibited, raw, and such a delight to frame.

this handsome guy is not only a high school graduate this summer, but will also become my brother-in-law in just a few weeks, and i could not be more excited! we ventured out into orange county a little while back to snap these photos and commemorate such a momentous milestone in his life. i can't wait to see what God has in store for this young man.

corey, thanks for being such an all-around awesome guy - i couldn't be more glad to marry into such a great group of siblings-to-be!
